BRUNCH IS BACK BABY!
Did you hear? We’re officially serving up Weekend Brunch at both Hitchin and St Albans. And trust us, it’s been worth the wait!
We spent a whole year perfecting our menu, testing out killer recipes on our friends, family, and team. Now, we’re ready to share our next-level brunch with YOU!
Expect awesome brunch classics, and some original smokehouse brunch specials, all served alongside top-notch coffee from local roastery Wooden Hill, plus breakfast cocktails such as margaritas, mimosas and the best damn Bloody Mary around.
What is brunch without an eggs benny? Toasted English muffin, perfectly poached St. Ewes eggs, brown butter hollandaise, finished with some parm. Go classic with the timeless maple-cured streaky bacon or opt for something a bit more adventurous like our beef brisket with BBQ sauce and blue cheese.
Our chicken and waffles is the stuff of dreams. A jalapeno and cheddar waffle, topped with crisp and juicy fried chicken, C&C hot sauce and finished with Canadian maple syrup for that little touch of sweetness.
The maple butter pancakes, cooked to order on the plancha are ten-ten. You might have a difficult time deciding what to have on them with all of our delicious options. But that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?
We caught up with Adam, owner of Craft & Cleaver, who couldn’t be more pumped:
“Brunch has been on our minds since we opened our Hitchin restaurant. It’s got that laid-back vibe—great food, soft country tunes, and our famously friendly service. We just knew we had to do it right.”
And right means bold, drool-worthy dishes like Chicken & Waffles, Pancakes with Grilled Peaches, Mascarpone & Pistachio, and Brisket Benedict (Eggs Benedict, but make it Craft and Cleaver – with Pulled Barbecue Brisket, Blue Cheese & Parmesan)
Adam’s top pick? He didn’t even hesitate:
“It’s got to be the Pitmaster’s Choice—Smoked Beef & Jalapeño Sausage, Homemade Potato Rosti, Fried Burford Brown Egg, Barbecue Pit Beans & Habanero Ketchup. I’m really proud of that one!”
And don’t worry, we’ve got the little ones covered too—kid-friendly waffles, eggs on toast, and all the good stuff.
